Sorbent for water purification from hydrogen sulfide

EKVOSORB SV is a specialized filter material based on activated shungite-containing mineral. Designed to purify water from hydrogen sulfide, dissolved sulfides and metal compounds.

The mineral complex of the sorbent combines sorption, catalytic and ion-exchange effects, providing comprehensive water treatment and stable operation of the filtration system.

Purpose. EKVOSORB SV is used for water treatment at domestic, public and industrial facilities where reduction of the content of hydrogen sulfide and sulfide compounds is required. The material can be used in filtration columns and other water treatment systems as an independent load or as an element of a multi-stage technological scheme.

Operating principle. The components of the sorbent interact with sulfide ions dissolved in water and contribute to their oxidation to more stable sulfur compounds - sulfites and sulfates. Due to the combination of catalytic, sorption and ion exchange properties, EKVOSORB SV reduces the content of sulfide ions and hydrogen sulfide, while simultaneously improving the main indicators of water quality.

Proven effectiveness. Studies have shown that the use of EKVOSORB SV allows reducing the concentration of sulfide ions by 15–30 times, depending on the initial water parameters and operating conditions. The material remains operational at various concentrations of pollutants and can be used in a wide range of water treatment conditions.

Result of application. The use of EKVOSORB SV helps reduce the content of hydrogen sulfide and dissolved sulfides, improve water quality and increase the efficiency of subsequent purification stages. The material helps reduce the load on equipment and create a more stable and technologically advanced water treatment system.
